This is the simpleton contstruct of the rule that was parroted by Huge Rugby Fans™ up and down the the country on Twitter and in pubs over the weekend, it’s dead wrong. Do you understand relative velocity?

Does relative velocity mean that forward is actually backwards? I doubt it
Did the English beat us in terms of relative velocity as well as dominant tackles?
The rules are written to take into account this fundamental and easy to grasp concept, it doesn’t need to be spelled out.
