Hopefully Shane is all those things tomorrow, except right. Rights no good. Down the middle, middle of the green, 2 putts, move on. 18 times.

I won’t get to watch it tomorrow so you might provide me with some live updates. A golfing man like yourself will be glued to it I’m sure. I look forward to the latest instalment of @dodgy_keeper take on the Norwegian commentator when Shane pips Tommy Fleetwood for the Claret Jug. Tommy Fleetwood is from Merseyside so he’ll have plenty of original material to work with there.

I hope the golf didn’t take the good out of Portrush loyal sons of ulster march.

They’ll be swamped in a sea of tricolors.

Tommy is from the affluent, Tory-voting town of Southport, so it’s no surprise that he follows Everton rather than Liverpool

Are there any golf haters driven demented enough to hope Shane doesn’t prevail tomorrow? That would be a new low, even for TFK.

Did you know the 12th of July celebrations were golf-themed this year - they took place in 18 holes

I hope he wins but I would add that it’s even more proof, were it even required, that golf is simply not a sport

On what basis?

I shouldn’t have to explain but when some fat fuck, even a jovial one such as Shane, wins a marquee sporting event, you really have to question the merit of said ‘sport’

So front row forwards bring rugby into question?

Lowry wouldn’t be mapped in America. This is Pitch and putt golf. A complete lottery and a huge track bias.

Have another go at that there

Yes. Indeed it could be argued it’s one of many issues with rugby which brings its integrity into question

What about when he won the Bridgestone

It’s about as equitable as the draw in Chester

He’s fallen off a cliff sense and lost his tour card.
