The Open

On your earlier point. Driver isn’t a bad play at all tomorrow. If you hit it bad at least your further down. As you said, he just needs to avoid doing a mcilroy on it

It’s not, a hybrid isn’t a wood

He lost a major with a four shot lead only a few years ago. The sun still came up the following day

Huh?

Hasn’t done the man himself any harm.

It’s a pitch and putt course. There’ll be no need for a driver.

Its neither. Its a hybrid iron/wood…no?

Exactly, so that wasn’t a tautology.

Explaining = Losing.

Hybrid would have explained what it was. Wood was unnecessary.

It was unnecessary but calling it a tautology was incorrect. I’m going to stop now because I imagine the like of @Raylan are sighing into their phone reading this shit

The influence of the caddies tomorrow could be very important. Hopefully Lowry’s bagman is a good front runner like Steve Williams, and not like Miles Byrne, who put too many clubs in Ian Woosnam’s bag for the final round of the 2001 Open at Royal Lytham, effectively costing the Welshman the tournament.

As somebody who has caddied at Royal Portrush in the North of Ireland amateur championship in the past, I’m keenly aware that a good caddy can make all the difference.

With Lowry coming from the Fianna Fail stronghold of Clara, you’d expect that if there’s one thing he has grown up with, it’s an eye for a good bagman.

Go and represent us there. It could be the greatest ever sporting occasion on Oirish soil, it would be fantastic to have you posting live from the course.

How will Rory do on the back 9 tomorrow?..

We all look forward to your post near the finish asking how Lowry is doing.

The sun also came up after Saipan.

Rory’s local knowledge and the boisterous home crowd behind him will surely be the biggest threat to Lowry tomorrow.

A sad day for TFK when tautology gets introduced in arguments.

Incorrectly
