Yet more evidence if it were needed that golf is not a sport. Not even close
Gmac gave Brendan Lowry a big hug as Shane was walking up 18. Brendan looked very emotional which I’d say isn’t a usual experience for the man. He looks hard as nails
There are actually fantastic scenes over on LinkedIn tonight. There’s a real sense of pride within large sections of the Irish banking industry.
Nice change of tact there. Very subtle
Lowry must have told him to go fuck himself

I’m
SAFE HOME BRETHREN
my first time in norn iron in the summer, the flegs and parpahenalia are fairly overbearing in the rural pratestent villages in derry and tyrone.
Obviously a very worthwhile trip, but if lowry wasn’t flying it and i was watching eddie pepperall win in the rain today it would have been a damp squib, maybe the ryder cup for a future golf trip.
What a jolly happy go lucky lad lowry is. If he hadn’t the golf he’d be a teacher or assistant bank manger, horsing pints and playing pool at the weekend in clara or tullamore. But he does and has a great likeable personality, in sharp contrast to his main twitter detractor.
It’s sad that people from the republic don’t have a notion of what utter cunts the unionists truly are until they actually see it for themselves
Can you elaborate?
People born and raised below the border counties have it in their heads that Catholic or nationalist communites should sut up and just accept everything that happens, as the general consensus is that as there is peace now they shouldn’t be complaining about anything.
It’s not until they actually see with their own eyes the daily and constant antagonising that goes on up there from the community that holds the balance of power in the UK that they begin to realize they would be just as vocal given the circumstances
I’m from the south and i don’t have that opinion.
You do. You just don’t know it
There was a.dup lad on the other day saying that catholics are thriving in the union - because they’ve ‘been given’ a role in politics, jobs etc…
It’s really lovely of the unionist community to involve us like that, a real privilege for us Catholics.
As long as we don’t go gettin’ too uppity we’ll be treated just fine.
They’ll never break our spirit mo chara
You should head to Belfast for a weekend, it’s a great town
I was there for one night during college, blind drunk. I really want to explore more of the place though. Did a day trip too and a black taxi tour, by pure luck it was one of our lads driving. Unreal.
Drove through cookstown there place was done up like the queens jubilee but one boozer in the middle, mulligans, with tyrone flags and lads horsing pints outside. Anything to mugsy?
That’s his place. You’ve just slipped over the border into Tyrone there, glad you made it through ok.
You notice the soldier f flags when you came over the hill into the town?
