That’s the parachute regiment flag, some have we support soldier f…
The oo is harmless enough for a lot of those lads, especially in the country - they’ve f all else to be at, no music, gaa, tfk etc. I did a bit of work for a few lodges over a good few years, I made a couple of good friends and was always well looked after. The halls are mainly community centres; credit unions, embroidery classes, historical societies etc. The badness gets up around the 12th, especially with brexit, talk of referendums etc.
One of the men told me that my account was discussed during the agm. A senior member started with the wtf is this fenian doing here etc. He was told to wise up in no uncertain terms. I’d take the word of the man that told me any day.
We’ll have plenty of lodges in our new Ireland, it’ll be their country as well afterwards!
Sometimes I feel almost benevolent towards our orange brethren, especially since they’re fighting a losing battle
Was driving up through Co. Armagh on Saturday and the flags were out in force, the bridges were painted, and there were posters of King Billy up.
Interesting. So youd have no issue going into those villages for work, something to eat etc or would you avoid them?
Great morning for Brendan and Bridgie.
You probably wouldn’t be drinking in the pubs around the marching season, places like Tobermore, Desertmartin and Curran have a dark enough history - but we don’t see much klan activity these days. It’s the loyalist parts of Belfast, portadown etc you’d really want to watch.
Noted GAA referee and golf pundit Brian Gavin on Newstalk there discussing Shane’s win.
John from Monaghan got upset over that particular comment.
John was box office
I was under the impression John wasn’t RC? The bigot assumed because he was from the south that he was. Despite his obvious upset he made valid the point that Heather Humphreys was a minister, to absoultely destroy the DUP’s point and to back up Toibin. Peadar played a blinder.
Well you called that wrong anyway
He said he was very proud of his protestant neighbours… He fair rattled Wells anyway
Peter whitenell was the highest profile protestant I remember playing gaa. Many these days?
Drew Wylie I think?
Would you reckon Ryan Wylie is too?
On the balance of probability, yes.
Who was the full forward for Down in either ‘91 or ‘95? He was CoI and shipped a lot of taunts from the terraces because of it
Eh, mate?
Blaney?
On a serious note, with five Irish players winning 10 majors since 2007, is it time to split the 32 county-organised Irish golf into North and South?
Thoughts, @maroonandwhite?
