I canât imagine it being busier than any other week
The sad thing is, a few of the losers on here will be delighted if any horses die next week.
Why is it always the poor innocent horse and never one of the horrible little bastards whipping them around the field??
God willing. God willing. I fear the worst though.
Google âKieran Kelly jockeyâ there Robert
One back for the horses.
Just pointing out the inaccuracy of your post, thatâs all.
What happened him mate? Did the horse ride him over a fence and break his neck?
Youâll have to go and read that yourself, mate.
Jesus, the horse shot him, I never saw that coming.
The usual disgusting hypocrisy from you. Pleading with posters last week not to discuss one particular death but itâs ok for you to mock the death of a father of young kids?
Was Tenby a short price favourite for that? A mate of mine stood to win an absolute packet if he came in
As heâd say himself.
Stop. Just stop
No that was the commander in chief derby, think St Jovite was favourite that year.
I have the same tedious but undoubtedly brilliant knowledge of early 1990s horsey racing that I do for pretty much every other sport, although horsey racing is not a sport, so I can tell you that Rodrigo De Triano, with the un-retired Leicester Picket aboard, was the favourite for the 1992 Epsom Derby, with Dr. Devious second favourite. Rodrigo and Leicester finished nowhere, metaphorically, as the horse was a mile specialist and the mile and a half trip was far too long for him to the best of my recollection. St. Jovite (pronounced âSahn Jzhoe-veetâ) was around fifth or sixth in the betting and finished a distant second but turned the tables on the Doctor at the Curragh on a finger-fatteningly warm Sunday - the same day Derry knocked reigning All-Ireland champions Down out the 1992 Ulster and All-Ireland race.
Indeed, had a quick look there and St Jovite was 14/1.
He was never going to be beaten in front of his fanatical home fans at the Curragh in the big rematch. The Doctor got intimidated in front of the hostile, baying crowd and couldnât handle it. The Curragh was like the Ali Sami Yen stadium in Istanbul on June 28th, 1992. It was horsey racingâs equivalent of âWelcome to Hellâ and the Cairo Gang massacre all rolled into one. Many IRA songs were sang at the Home of Flat Horsey Racing in Ireland that day. Poor old Dr. Devious mustnât have had a clue what to make of it all.
Hard to believe isnât it
Mossback
Never coming back.
