Great stuff from Donovan & Maeda.

Donovan has something. Raw but he has moxy.

Great finish that. Well done Donovan and Maeda too.

Martin O’Neill’s Celtic 3-1 up away to a Dutch giant.

It’s August 2001 again.

Bernardo & Ralston for Hatate & Donovan.

If you’re the son of a former great footballer who’s the manager of your Eredivisie team and you’re only making your debut as a sub at the age of 19, I’m going to say, without ever having seen you play, you’re probably not much use.

Great to hear Martin O Neill ringing out in Rotterdam

That was magnificent, absolutely magnificent, & both thoroughly unexpected & completely deserved.

Martin O’Neill. :clap::clap::clap:

Celtic Celtic Celtic.

Wonderful stuff.

Great energy to our game but the pressing was targeted and not reckless. Managed a great balance between defending and using the ball in a way we’ve often struggled to master in Europe.

Two of the more maligned players on the scoresheet too in Yang and Nygren and both took their goals well. Nygren gets unfair criticism for his finishing I think. He gets into great positions and that was an excellent finish.

Nygren’s finish thundering in off the underside of the bar was as pleasing on the eye as Sutton’s bullet header doing likewise all those years ago.

I was just thinking…Martin O’Neill must be the greatest Irish sportsperson of all time given the breadth of his achievements & his longevity as a player & manager in the beautiful game.

And he was a talented parochial bog ball player in Derry too. His family is steeped in sport. But the Oirish media don’t get him. Celtic would be mad to oust him before the end of the season.

We’ve forgotten the Poppy O’Kneel phase I see.

Rovers capitulating now

That wall was embarrassing

Still, great to see so many Ukrainians celebrating in the crowd. It’ll really stick in the throats of fuckers like @Corksfinedtboy

I think St. Martin’s fairytale return is a very good omen for the Wexford hurling champions in the upcoming Leinster final.

Some real heavyweight European match pairings tonight.

Feyenoord v Glasgow Celtic
Nottingham Forest v Malmö
