The Chelsea players look intimidated to be taking on one of the genuinely great names of European football.
You can’t underestimate how the loss of a leader like JT can affect a side on a night like tonight.
Benfica will not break the curse.
What’s the score?
What other players have left Benfica in big transfers over the last couple of years? I can think of Di Maria, Coentrao, Ramires and Luiz. Are there any others? They would have some team if they were able to hold onto them.
Benfica were atrocious in both games against Celtic this season.
Axel Witzel and Javi Garcia left in the summer as well
Oh yeah, Garcia is rubbish though.
Would agree but they got the bones of €60 million for the two of them which was some business
Mata has played one hoondre n thoorty one mashes in the last two yearns according to Brian Kerr
Presume he meant Oscar as opposed to Mata
Keane saying Luiz is an attack minded-midfielder.
Your guess is as good as mine

I think the big name factor is much more imprtant here. It’s like when Westmeath or Louth come up against Meath, the small fry don’t believe they can win against the team with the history and tradition. Chelsea will have to be two goals better if they want to win by one.
Saw a very similar stat about Oscar on twitter last week
Cahill is really shit against a big striker.
Criminal defending by Garay.
Class from Torres
Could be a great night for the liverpool diaspora.
Rafa Benitez’s ability to win matches in Europe that his teams by right should be hammered in constantly amazes me.
Wexford like defending
He is either poxed or a genius.
Nope, Torres would’ve been hacked down outside the box and we’d have soldiered on a man down while the opposition shat their pants
