Is there no expressway busses into Kilkenny City any more?
I’m confused.
You’ll just have to drive mate and forego the pints
It’s a poor service truth be told.
One stops in Thomastown alright but it’s running too late.
Car it is so…
You could surely overnight with a relative given the occassion?
Surely JJ Kavanagh has a bus running to our nations capital? (and back)
Not really an option.
Seven siblings but the only place I could get local comfortably would be Kilmacthomas.
No darts or trains on bank holiday Monday north of Connolly. It’s not like there’ll be a load of people north of the Liffey looking to compete or support others in the Dublin City marathon. Other cities put on free travel for the day when they hold their own marathons.
Brilliant
is this the correct thread for that rant mate?
The rail network is always riddled with closures on bank holidays, you can be guaranteed some part of the DART will be closed when one comes around. As a fella who’d only use the choo-choo the odd weekend to go for some pints it’s a pain but sure commuters.
The marathon is on Sunday, not Monday
Fair play mate. One day is not a bad response time to come up with a quip like that.
Facts aren’t quips mate. This tax bill has your head melted by the looks of things
Not operating Sunday either la
Oh so that makes it ok. Easy knowing the south DART/Wecky lads are sorted. It’s like @Tim_Riggins sweeping for Darragh O’Brien in the hope he’ll get a comp ticket for the open
Sure the Southside Dart runs once every half hour or something on a Sunday. Tis as good as suspended for the day!
As per @Mac, the same situ last year. I was going to use the train in but they seem to do works there every October bank holiday weekend to clash with the marathon
Instead I’d to drive home and didn’t get a celebratory pint (I’d a 7up and a puke in Insomnia instead).
Teddible
