The Public Transport Thread

I got my annual rail pass refunded for last year but they still threw an extra 6 months on it since jan which I assume was an admin error.

God only knows where my Leap Card is or how much is on it. Another relic from a bygone era.

Indeed.

And the Irish Rail app to check if the DART is on time or not.

Another casualty of COVID-19. Other apps too that I no longer use, like Dublin Bikes or Open Table.

Damn you pandemic.

All those apps will be lost in time, like tears in rain.

The cost of Dublin’s MetroLink is likely to be higher than what was initially budgeted

Well Holy God.

I’m only picking myself off the floor now

Ill field this one @Rocko

Eamon is pushing for it to be in the revised NDP.

The last Government didn’t do enough on it and that’s why it slowed down i.e. planning permission wasnt applied for.
Once it is in the NDP (due next month) planning permission will be sought (18 months) & then the build will happen (6 years)

Ahead of the curve as always, usually you’d have to wait until the project starts for the costs to run over. Not here though

Covid should be the death knell for pensioners abusing their free travel pass thankfully.

Where’s the video david?

You’d wager it to be the Bread Line. Rough out it is

Heart-warming stuff, you’d hope the driver’s management team reward this chap.

Although for exigent matters such as this, maybe in future David could just give the guards a call?
