The Q-Bar

The Heineken sign along the side of the Q-Bar has been taken down.

Is nothing sacred?

Was supping a pint in the Halpenny Inn yesterday watching Reeling in the Years, and there was a picture on the wall of the Halpenny Bridge, and there was an advertisement of some sort on the bridge itself. That’s not good at all, hopefully that stays sacred for the moment anyway

Giles and Dunphy soccer academy. No parking cones being used in practice. Classic.

Was a good episode alright. Debating whether or not to go to the game later or stay in and watch 1980 this evening

No better way to spend an early evening in Dublin City.

Before the Bachelor Inn came under new ownership it was one of the best places to down a brew accompanied by a ham and cheese toasty served with a jar of colmans for spreading of an evening. Pints of Guinness were poured at 1759, left to settle for part of the Angelus and quickly topped up before 1801 when the RT news headlines began, anybody caught talking during the news headlines would get a stern talking to!
