Why are people so entrusting of this captain of industry and not others.

It’s extraordinary. Apparently he’s now the biggest farmer in the states…meanwhile he has every mainstream news channel pushing his climate views and his promotion of lab grown meat. Soon we’ll be duped into believing that the mono crop agriculture needed is a great way to reduce atmospheric carbon, and that this processed food is healthier etc. One thing we can guarantee is that he won’t have any issue with the biden agricultural policy…neither will the pesticide companies, since they will run the agriculture department. Somehow profit, pesticides, monocrop agriculture, lab grown meat will all harmonise to make the lads richer and to reduce cow farts. Cow farts which people have been led to believe genuinely damage the environment

The media have a lot to answer for here. The reporting on the SA variant was scaremongering. The limited study even stated that given that AZ was based on the same basis as J&J, that theoretically it should have as big an impact on severe infections as J&J.

SA are handing back vaccines because of this media reporting and the impact it is going to have on the populations willingness to take it. South Africa themselves appear to have landed on their feet with J&J eagerly taking up the opportunity to show how well it looks. That option is not there for European countries whose citizens are reading the same half baked reporting that SA ones are.

A lot of talk on how Zuckerberg et al have polluted the discord and boosted anti vax arguments in recent years, but this was the Guardian and the FT putting out those headlines.
