Tbf, it takes 3 weeks until they can administer the 2nd dose so itâs not that bad a timeline in reality.
The real question is whether they will be able to deliver on that 6 week pledge.

It is estimated that it will take each vaccinator 12 minutes to administer the vaccine with a target of injecting 35 vaccines per day.
12 minutes seems to be an awful long time to administer a jab. Sit down, get your arm out, draw out vaccine from vial, stick it in arm, pull it out and stick a plaster on it. Job done. Next. What is taking 12 minutes?
Itâs a joke.
The staff in the nursing homes are well able to administer vaccines. They do it for the flu vaccine each year. Theyâd administer this covid jab in their own nursing homes in a day.
But no, in this case a team from the HSE are going to be fluting around the country at this for 2 months.

Theyâll hold off on the vaccine as flu normally peaks mid to late January, depending on weather. Then theyâll administer vaccine as numbers fall. Rain made

It was like something out of a living nightmare. I was crying for around 2 hours solid in the morning.
