Ah I’m not saying that as such.

I imagine for her it is proving herself right and supporting her child.

What I imagine more of is some greasy tabloid supporter sitting on her couch asking her “People are just going to say you’re a gold digger” type questions, all the while the paper have probably paid a few K for the story. The tabloids with their usual moral double standards. Realistically this is a young woman who clearly needs money to support her child and if McGregor is the father or not (if he is, he is an event bigger scumbag than I though), it is standard tabloid exploitation.

A lot of foolish young men out there, if you want to be involved in the child’s life you have to pay and a judge will see to that, on the other side let’s just say one of us Limerick men got drunk and found our way into a clare womans bed, 9months later shes knocking on the door claiming you made a halfling with her, the law protects us from that too.
