would she be let go though? I’d imagine they dont have much of a relationship or life together anyway, he’s always off doing shite and rare enough you see her with him. I’d say at this point shes just staying on for his image and potentially fear of what would happen if she left. Easier to just stay on, let him be a prick and do what he wants, and only be around him rarely enough. Shes probably director and part of companies he set up so there would be more tax breaks and stuff, so you’d hope she has enough if she does end up going her own way. She wont though.

Dunno. I think the outcome will dictate a lot. If it comes back with no liability on him, then there are enough out there who will feel vindicated for him and happy to keep backing him. If he is found against, it will make a bit more of an impact, but looking at social media comments generally, there still is big support for him. How much of that is Irish is hard to guess alright. There were plenty bigging him up to sort the country out and become president. The fucking clown. Gavin Pepper and the likes of his followers will still lap him up.

I’ve yet to meet a person in public who admits to liking McGregor but we’ve seen the phenomenon in American politics where public polling is out of kilter with reality on the ground due to public perception bias. Dare I say it might be similar with Gerry Hutch. He is the new beloved ordinary decent criminal who the media cant get enough of. He will have very vocal public support as its palatable in inner city but also a substantial shy vote elsewhere.
