- you are ignoring all the evidence the defence could have brought. Like cctv footage etc. The dpp doesnt ignore that stuff.
- You have literally no idea or experience of what it takes to succeed with a prosecution of rape. Nor do any of us.
- There are a fair few articles suggesting it proves the dpp right.

Iām not sure I follow your point. It wasnāt a criminal rape trial so you could argue heās not criminally a rapist, if thatās what youāre saying?
But all media outlets are reporting heās been found liable for the rape of Nikita Hand.
As I said, the specific question to the jury wasā¦did he assault her?
The jury found he did.
Her case was that the assault was via rape.
The media en masse are surely familiar with defamation laws to know they can validly make that inference based on the case/verdict and call him a rapist.
As I say, Iām no Ally McBeal so Iād defer to TFK experts here and if there is a reason why the word āassaultā rather than ārapeā was the question for the jury to decide on. I dunno if the fact it was a civil case had a bearing on the terminology used?
