McGregor looks more haggard everytime I see him. Is it possible heā€™s gone off the rails

My friends in the UFC tell me the even money on Diaz is free money. I would be inclined this way too regardless of tips but the odds are bizarre.

Iā€™ll be outtinh on a relatively large sum.

He looks to me like a man who may have gotten little bit too fond of the high life.
I notice he has been much more low key this time around though.

Whoā€™s yer one?

Does seem like the stories about him being mad to have another go at Diaz at the same weight are genuine though. Iā€™d give him some respect for that.

Some young ''wan called Lopez. One for the future.

Heā€™s been training exceptionally hard apparentlyā€¦Perhaps thatā€™s why he is so haggard.

Heā€™s mugging everyone off and playing the media like a harpsichord.

No doubt heā€™s the one behind all the rumours. Heā€™s just trying to look after his loyal fans by ensuring that the odds for backing him are as long as possible.

What a guy.

:joy:

Interestingly enough I was talking to a script writer in Vegas and theyā€™ve all ready finished off this episode. McGregor wins by knockout. A unification fight against seamus is next up then.

All the same issues exist though and while they at least admitted they got weight etc wrong they dtill seem to think they can defy alot of normal weight changes.

There is no doubt the promotional fall out was to buy time. He is realising how hard it is. I think he has the fear.

Yeah of course. But even if they do exist, and even if the whole idea is dumb, thatā€™s some way admirable that he wants to fire ahead and do it. It is still brave in career terms of nothing else, doubt there are many fighters that would do the same.

They all would. He is not special. UFC fighters are lunatics and largely only the most robust make it thru.
He is way down the list in terms of toughness and bravery. He just happens to be Irish and we hear alot about him. I wouldnā€™t trust the cunt to hang around if he was with me in a street fight were we outnumbered. I wouldnā€™t say the same with Diaz.

McGregor has great skills and athleticism, but i question his mentality. And he certainly hasnā€™t had a long term plan like he used to blow on about, because this whole thing completely diviated from that and was foolish and greedy. And the thing is aplrently he doesnā€™t have that much of the cash left, although he has some assets now. I think he gets average advice.

Itā€™s not brave at all. If anything itā€™s arrogant. McGregor makes his money with his trash talk. Hollywood wonā€™t want to know about him if heā€™s a loser. He has to beat Diaz to get back to where he wants to be an thatā€™s appearing in shitty Hollywood films. Going back down and knocking out aldo and Edgar will do nothing for his career now. Itā€™s all about the score with McGregor.

Bang on and he fucked that up already with his greed.

Yes he made a massive error but if heā€™d beaten Diaz he couldnā€™t have talked no end of shit about his greatness and all the simpletons like glas would have believed the hype. Heā€™d a get chump to fight him in Croker and make a massive score then fuck off to Hollywood to make some more money. His loss to Diaz has damaged him hugely. Iā€™ve no doubt if he beats Diaz the next time which I expect him to do easily enough heā€™ll have the exuses ready as to why he lost the previous time.

The mentality required to achieve some level of success in a combat sport seems to be the same mentality that also ensures the person ends up penniless.

Thats the same with most pro sports, its just thag in sports like soccer they get so over the top money their dumbness is not as hurtful down the track. In combat soirts the jews/mafia/other gansters are hanging around stealing your money before you ever get it
