I’d agree with that, 10/1 is outstanding value considering the wrestling bona fides of Mendes and the complete lack of any ground skill shown by McGregor so far. Seems very obvious, but the early exchanges will be key. If Mendes can avoid getting caught by the same tactic McGregor’s previous conquests have fallen to, where he backs them up quickly and then gets them as they try to re-establish ring position, then he has a right shot. If he can take it to the floor, I’d be really surprised if McGregor can hold him off.

I’d love it if McGregor’s face gets fucked up to the same extent as Rory MacDonald’s just did. What a fight though, unreal from Lawler to get the KO when he was behind, absolutely brutal stuff.

A joke shop totally fixed. Mendes took one punch and was covering up but the ref stops it with 10 seconds left in the round.

Ah sure look, fair play to him. Mendes was clearly gassed after 4 minutes trying to open a window for elbows in full guard and had been hurt too. Amazing how quick it turned from Mendes almost getting the guillotine to the KO. McGregor was taken down far too easy though, Edgar or Aldo will be looking on at that, and even Mendes with full prep behind him wouldn’t fear him.

Mendes looked half fucked but yeah the ref should have let him play for the bell. Would have been a disaster for the UFC if McGregor lost.

Mendez gassed and was hurt… McGregor looked very gaunt and looked in real danger on the ground, lot more work to do. Mendez would have taken him properly conditioned.

What a fix job. Mendez gave white and the Ufc two fingers there, dominated and battered mcgregor but took the dive he had to to keep his career going just at the end of the second round. The fight before it was outstanding though.

He was. As have refs in 2 of McGregor’s previous fights.

A bit but he Mendes wasn’t defending himself at all and the safety of the fighter comes first… He was gassed and took a big hit and was in trouble.
