The Roaster Thread

I see Larry Corbett is doing a black Friday promotion tomorrow with 99c pints.

Did you mean to post that in the lookalikes thread?

Canā€™t be legal surely!

Heā€™s just giving something back to the community.

This is most likely sponsored by the brewery. If you sell enough they might throw in 1 or 2 barrels at the end of the year.
Most publicans get an odd free barrel here and there and they just sell it off as pure profit.

You can sell drink at whatever price you want, once it doesnā€™t go below the starting price that morning. You canā€™t drop it in the middle of the day, for an hour (like happy hour) or whatever, but you can open it at any price you want. You used not be allowed sell drink at a loss but thatā€™s gone now.
You can increase prices later in the night as long as itā€™s advertised that you do so.

Can you imagine the carnage rocking out of that place this evening. Itā€™ll be like the feile all over again. Great advertising for Larry though. Even if it cost him ā‚¬5k heā€™s it made back in brand recognition, facebook followers etc. A good rebound from the counterfeit liquor story.

Did we ever find out who robbed Lar. Robbed in inverted commas.

A bit of publicity. Canā€™t imagine much happening in Thurles on a Friday night normally.

Informative

Promotion runs from 10.30 to 6 pm it appears

Pity the Waterford full back line couldnā€™t catch Lar below in Cork in 2011. Full back line in inverted commas.

Heā€™ll have them in for the night after that sure.

Yeah thanks. Was he convicted?

The Waterford fullback?

8 pints ordered at 5.45 pm reminiscent of the beat the clock on rag week

You wouldnā€™t even bother looking to see where you left your pint down, just straight back up to the bar.

Iā€™m not a lawyer, but I doubt the case would have been heard yet. The DPP wouldnā€™t move as fast as Lar.
