Bledisloe Cup/The Rugby Championship

New Zealand hang on to win 14-10 but England have nothing to fear from them ahead of the World Cup next year and taking a longer term view, the British Loins can look ahead with optimism to 2017.

Nipped in the bud I’m afraid.

South Africa really should have won that test match. Lineout let them down badly in the second half. New Zealand just don’t win the World Cup outside of New Zealand. South Africa will be the team to beat October twelve months.

A truncated 2015 Rugby Championship is up and running. New Zealand beat Argentina 39-18 in the opening game in Christchurch last night.

The Qantas Wallabies currently hosting South Africa in Brisbane. Matt Giteau’s return to international rugby after a four year absence. South Africa leading 20-7 early in the second half.

Incredible finish in Brisbane as two minutes into injury time the TMO awards Tevita Kuridrani a try to seal a 24-20 comeback win from 7-20 down for the Qantas Wallabies.

Wonderful ending. Australia have terrific back line depth now, as always the pack is key with keeping Hooper and Pocock fit crucial to their chance. Both are very different 7s but impact players in the pack who if used right can cause the All Blacks damage.

After away wins by New Zealand in Johannesburg yesterday and the Qantas Wallabies in Mendoza, its all set up for a winner takes all Bledisloe Cup/Championship decider in Sydney on Saturday.

Looking forward to the Bledisloe Cup decider, kicking off in 15 minutes time. The warm ups for the Rugby World Cup starting as well this afternoon, a feast of rugby football for the next 3 months

Richie McCaw equaling O’Driscoll’s Test cap record. What an achievement.

odd that some lad from oireland cares about ths when nobody in oz does

It’s the World in Union mate

The Wallabies destroyed New Zealand at the scrum there

Good to see David Pocock starting for the Qantas Wallabies after all his injury problems.

Brilliant try in the corner from Adam Ashley Cooper and conversion added to put the Qantas Wallabies 17-14 ahead. 18 minutes to go.

Wonderful second half of Test football. Looks like Michael Cheika has weaved another miracle and hardened up the Wallabies psychology.

Warren Gatland and Wales are going to rue that last minute try they conceded to Australia in November 2012, thus dropping them to third seeds and landing them in a group with England and the Qantas Wallabies. He’s also going to rue dispensing with the services of Adam Jones earlier this year.

Coach Cheika is getting it right and it looks very much to me like Gatty will end up with another humiliating first round World Cup exit.

Long time since I’ve seen an Australian scrum shunt New Zealand backwards like they did in the first half. Super Mario Ledesma is Australia’s new scrum coach and his influence very apparent.

I reckon Australia could be the team to beat in the World Cup.

It will be interesting to see what Fijian team rocks up as well. 2007 will still be in the Welsh teams mind.

This doc on Pacific Islands rugby looks good

Any time the final has been in the British Isles, they’ve won it.

Looks like an entertaining game between SA and ARG on Sky Sports 3. 21 13 to ARG with 5 mins left in the first half.
