The Rugby Thread (Part 1)

seriously are you just a poor mans version of north county corncrake…

Cork Con, was it?

Im being serious Puke. I doubt there would be over 200 posts prior to International soccer friendlies

and whats your point…members on here like to talk about rugby and there is over 200 posts…so what?

hard to get excited about the soccer players since stan and kerrs shocking reigns though. good to see trap bringing some pride and interest back, it’ll turn around baby, dont you worry. in the meantime, dont let anyone put you in the corner.

Ha - very good!
Who’s going to it lads?

Plenty of tickets flying around apparently
I am

Managed to buy a package of premium tickets for NZ, Arg, Eng, Fra games for this season for 400 euro, not too bad really.

Does that not just indicate that more people are interested in rugby?

You may not know this but there are freekicks in rugby too. many of them. Maybe thats what rocko and bandage were referring to when they named the site?

That’s a nice deal alright dan.

I’ll have to stick with my terrace tickets. I hope to fuck it doesn’t rain

ya its a good deal, could have picked up the AB & arg tickets handy enough and probably a bit cheaper but well worth the extra for the security of having that France and England ticket as well.

Iv never sat in premium section either, any use? will there be a bar behind me ya? can i bring booze to my seat, good view?

I have never been there for Rugby but I’m sure the same rules apply. The seats are usually very good as long as you’re not in a corner in the back row. The view can be a little restricted here.

There are plenty of bars behind you but you won’t be able to bring your pint out to the seat (least you’re not allowed for GAA or soccer events).

Anyone see Vincent Hogans article on Monday? The whole letters section of the indo today was devoted to it. Think he pissed all of NZ off.

DAn

That’s an excellent deal-
Where did you source it?

WBY

It was a stupid article imo, complete disrespect to a Nation. Hogan can be a bit of a fool at times.

i’d say most of the time…he’s in overdrive the last few months

Wouldnt call Best more dependable in the line out. Line out has been a mess since midway point in 6 Nations last year, no matter who was tossing into it. Best is decent in the right, but in the loose and the line out I’d pick Flannery any day of the week. Good to see Best keep up the ol “quote” though.
Best has been far far better in the lineout over last year or so. Flannery may be the better player in the loose but his lineout record for Ireland recently has been very poor in comparison to Best’s.

im with you on this one - any sport with too many birds liking it isnt a proper sport & west brit kick & clap has loads of munters into it.idiotball is only played in 3 countires in europe so i cant see why its popular in munster & D4

pukey, mbb & some of the lads from AFR are a little confused -on one thread they play the uber gael- as bigoted as can be giving out about foreign sports & then on another thread they play the west brit rogbee fan- they have too many faces to be taken seriously- thats why its so eacy to outfox them time after time

you criticise 2 sports under which united irish teams compete, shame on you corncrake, you seperatist pigdog.

the GGA doesnt unite - its played by rural bigoted papes, none of our orange friends are welcome im afraid  ireland will never be united under the GGA model - the only thing worse than orangemen is the green orangemen in the GGA
rogbee doesnt unite- the west brits from D4 & the upper classes from ballymena play - the working class are excluded - an ireland for the rich will never work:mad:
the FAI was set up as they refused to play under the british flag the IFA wanted them too - its was a bold & brave step against oppression- now the war is over the FAI are doing more than the 2 organisations above to unite ireland - the setanta cup is the only cup competition that it doesnt matter what creed or class you are - it is progressive thinking like this that will unite Ireland
