Disappointing selection. Casey should be starting, Harry Byrne should be in the 23. We must be planning on entering the over 35 rugby classic rather than the World Cup in 2023.

1-5 is fairly exciting and can be built around going forward. Everything else is disappointing.
Dave Kilcoyne will be going on 35 by the start of the next World Cup though. Pity Andrew Porter isn’t a loose head prop.
1-5 are the best on form (killer has been injured but he has been brilliant last 3 years). I’m disappointed that Ross bynre is not in the squad. Henshaw ringrose and keenan are good selections but might have been a good opportunity to try other players in these positions
Well that isn’t too old for a prop and he’s fairly low mileage.
Porter was a loose head and started the JWC final a few years back as LH. He only switched afterwards
Hard to see either Gibson park or sexton being in the 23 come the next World Cup.
If you are insisting on picking sexton you might as well give Casey a chance this weekend. Stander at 8 and sexton/henshaw/Ringrose outside him.
It’s literally a no brainer.

It’s a must win game for Ireland. Not a time to be taking chances.
Casey should get a shot, especially with sexton for expireance. Sexton won’t make world cup, he was held on fir the Lions and JGP is not good enough
