The Rugby Thread (Part 1)

Brother just won an AIL. Well beaten last year in the final, .made.it back there again against a fancied clontarf and walked all.over the cunts.

Very proud older brother to see the young man hes grown to be.

@fenwaypark , might need you to cover his classes til Wednesday I’d say!

Well done that man. Brilliant standard of rugby and you need to be a serious operator to win at that level

Lovely interview in the Times with Luke during the week. Delighted for the club. They are so well run.

Id be happy to cover classes for them all.

A great club. Paull Barr has some job done. Rugby how it should be. You’d never begrudge a fella a pro dream but I know from dealing with plenty of players that a close second prize is having a bit of success with your buddies where you might get to be the big dog

It is but I tell you, I won that one but he’ll be getting no rematch! I retired undefeated,.not a chance of going again now that he knows my moves!

Yeah, Thornley’s interview made a.lot of people in our family very proud of him this week. The words came across exactly as Luke would hold himself.

All in all,.on cloud 9. Great day for the family and for him himself. Nothing less than he deserves

Paul is a gent. I honestly could not say a negative word about anyof them. They are collectively a great bunch of lads, as sound as you could hope to meet. There is 3 of the team teaching in our place now, as well as Sean and Paul. They have made a huge difference to rugby in the school. Holding on to them now is our biggest challenge.

Paul would be an addition to every rugby program in the country. Repeating myself now I’m sure but when he was in Bandon they bate the shit out of us one day but he came into the dressing room and gave our lads the team talk of a lifetime. They left as happy as if they had won. He picked out one lad for particular praise who has since had massive (relative) success at his age. Id say there isn’t many nights he hasn’t gone to sleep thinking about what Paul Barr said in the dressing room that day. He puffed a fella up who really needed it, an innate skill

How did Barr end up away from Michaels and down in Cork?

Not sure but he was in cork for 20 years I’d say

I had it my head that he was the teacher/coach that there was a player mutiny over the first year they won the Cup but having looked it up I think it was a different fella.

The Laois man walked all over the cunts
