this looks like a great show

Research from the firm shows that rugby is seen to provide the strongest growth opportunities for sponsors in Ireland in 2017, with four in 10 industry practitioners polled by Onside viewing the sport as a strong platform for endorsements.
…
“Since the last Rugby World Cup there has been a rise in interest in the sport in the UK and Ireland, with marked increases in those interested in rugby in comparison to 2015. Three-in-four Irish adults are now actively interested in Rugby in Ireland, up from one-in-two in 2013 and one-in-four in 2005.”
Tbf I’d question what actively interested in means, there’s no one more interested* in Munster and Irish rugby than @dodgy_keeper after all.

Dublin 16…ouch.
Step up on Cork all the same.
Volume of 2,000 sq ft. no less.
I’d say Mike would be pleasantly surprised to find out that the volume is way more than that.

Morto!
The Heino finals in 2018 and 2019 have been awarded to Bilbao and Newcastle-Upon-Tyne respectively.
Interesting choices.
A real two fingers to Italy however, especially the Bilbao choice.
Imagine staging the final in a country that aren’t even in the competition.
Rugby has a fine tradition in the Basque Country.
A more logical move than the NFL and NBA playing in London or MLB in Australia.
Or playing your World Cup in the desert.
Sure the GAA are old hands at that.
New York compete in the all Ireland championship.
How did they get on in the 1947 All-Ireland football championship?
Additionally it is incorrect to say no teams from Spain can be in the competition.
Spanish teams can qualify through the Challenge Cup. The Challenge Cup over the years has had sides from Russia, Romania, Portugal and Spain. The qualifying for the Challenge Cup in the last two years has featured the above as well as Georgian, German and Belgian teams.
I’d say if you didn’t get your bag of coal at the 2019 final you could hang it up.
And Spainish clubs participate in the European rugby ladder in Europe mate.
The amount of ignorance regarding the game of rugby on here must depress you occasionally, Tim.
