The Europe 1 game is traditionally a potential banana skin for us.

Also with Scotland in the group with us the chances of a “handy” quarter final draw have diminished dramatically and unless Argentina can pull off a surprise we are likely to have to play against a rugby playing nation, which historically has been problematic for the Irish XV.

can you please update with the state of play in the european qualifiers?
the most recent rugby football game i attended was in 2013 when israel hosted Latvia in the old division 2B of the european nations cup
as we know in 2016 the European Nations Cup became the Rugby Europe International Championships with levels 1 -5
Level 1 is referred to at The Championship which is somewhat disrespectful as it is not under the jurisdiction of the Rugby Football Union , id prefer if it was called the european championship.
Romania won this season’s title. pipping Georgia on points differece, Spain Germany, Russia and Belgium also competed, the latter relegated to The Trophy ( again i find this naming convention somewhat disconcerting) group to be replaced by Portugal
