Yeah heās clearly a great player.
He bounced around. He was a back rower and they put him into the centre later on.
The hype around him was unreal.

Few years since I saw him in action but main takeaway is he was lacking the pace needed for that hybrid roleā¦pace is the great differentiator

The fact his oldman captained the All Blacks fed into that massively.
It definitely added to the narrative. He was only 14-15 though which is a bit ridiculous.
He probably should have stayed in the back row in the end.
Conway had gotten a lot of hype a few years before that from that level as well and delivered in the end.
