The School, College & University Competitions Thread (another thread gone west)

A stunned, eery silence around The 'Dyke tonight.

Catching up on this now. Have not seen the score… what was it?

Heard that the football side was a shambles yesterday, badly organised and no tactical work done

Just looking at the teams there, seems UL have far more technically better hurlers than UCC as a starting point.

Cork dont seem to produce as many stick men per capita as other counties.

Training Watergrasshill and they love him

Ffs

That is a part of it alright

You agree?

Dit after beating UCD by 2 points

Ah in fairness UL have the pick of hurlers from Limerick,Clare and Tipp.

UCC couldnt compete with just Cork hurlers and the odd fella from KK.

Dit, DCU and Carlow with plenty of lads from Div 2 counties like Kildare, Wicklow, Kerry and Westmeath. Great to see them do well.

Good scatter of Dubs and Laois lads involved as well.

Which makes the degrading of these comps all the more ridiculous

Agree totally. Great exposure for those lads and it gives them the belief that they are good enough. Would love to see one of those 3 teams win it. Those UL lads have enough of medals.

Exactly. Bring standards back to club and vounty then.

Westmeath will prob have 6 the next day out as Killian Doyle will surely start after his cameo as a sub last night

Remember that Cork club delegate a few years back slagging off someone, was it Carlow or Wicklow, when they dared to suggest some change to the hurling structure…

What the fuck does that have to do with this discussion you dopey pick.
You are only the exact same as whoever that delegate was with that rubbish.

Ah fuck off for yourself, you precious cunt.

You are always right & everyone else is always wrong, you sneery prick.

You have exposed yourself as someone just as bitter and twisted as those goons.

You were and always are waiting for some dumb swipe at “Cork”.

Yet in this case the discussion was on the positive influence players from “weaker” counties was having on the Fitz and hurling in general.

UCC lost with 11 County Seniors.

A number of them have played in Croke Park at AI Semi and/or Final level.

I count 9 from UL with far less experience.

They should be embarrassed.
