Cliffordâs bow for UL, best attended colleges game in Limerick for a long time. Disappointed in you all
Clifford who?
Is that Clifford?
A jacked Cian Lynch.
Great to see him getting ahead in life. A great young man.
Cian Lynch is something else to be lining out in that last night and rocking up in Dubai this morning.
Harty Cup Quarter Finals:
1 â Cashel CS v Thurles CBS
2 â Ărdscoil RĂs v Midleton CBS
3 â DLS Waterford v Nenagh CBS
4 â St Josephâs Tulla v CBC Cork
Quarter-finals to take place week ending January 9
Semi-finals: 1 v 2, 3 v 4
Munster council maximising gates as per usual. Big local derby in Tipp QF and good chance of Cork derby for the final.
After all cbc have spent it would be no harm for them to win, itâs hard for a school to get over the line
Fuck them, poaching players of north mon year on year. They have a few midleton lads playing with them ffs.
They will probably win it though.
Twas a bit tongue in cheek, they are completely wrong in their approach and it does Cork hurling no good. Long may it last
How far have Flannans fallen?
They won it in 2020 just before covid and won the Dean Ryan this year, all with players from their own catchment. Iâd say they are back, the team wasnât there this year.
They have a handful of young coaches/teachers that are driving it well, lads like Tony Kelly, Jack Browne and Brendan Burglar plus other like Jamsie OâConnor and Gary Brennan
They are no longer a boarding school or an all boys school. Change of head master there over a decade ago saw a big shift back to academics.
Flannanâs teams these days are pretty much made up of lads from Ennis and the surrounding area rather than boarders from East Clare, North Tipp and South East Galway.
As @PasqualePaoli said they had an exceptional team in 2019/2020 who won the Harty but Covid meant there was no Croke Cup. The current side lost a couple of close games but appears to be a very young side on paper with a number of their Dean Ryan (under 16.5) team starting this year.
I know someone close to the scene and says Flannans have really got their act together.
They won the Dean Ryan a couple of weeks back. There are two young Hegartyâs from Inamona, James and Fred, who are supposed to be exceptional, back boning the side at 6 and 11. Both are under 15s. James was a half back on the harty team this year and supposedly Flannanâs standout hurler at that level.
Fred is Fergalâs young lad afaik
Correct and the other lad is a cousin and younger brother of Conor Hegarty
are you sure they arenât from Tipp⊠a cousin and brother
