Both teams have missed a huge amount of chances. Sam O Farrell best player on the pitch but could have another 1-5 between frees and other bits.

A joy to watch
Didnāt realise Shane Walsh had left the Michael Lyng motors sales job and was back in college. Presumably training to be a primary school teacher like his brother PĆ”draig. Must be very close to 30 if he isnāt already.
With the way Inter County teams train now and with the way Third Level Education has become a bit of a cod with remote lectures etc, youād wonder do these lads playing together know each other at all.
Back when we were a proper country, a good Fitzgibbon Cup team was made up 3 or 4 houses on Highfield West in Cork or College Court in Limerick or Roebuck Downs in Dublin.
Would these lads still be at that craic or are they all driving up and down to University periodically to meet a Tutor who might sit their exams on their behalf when the time comes?

That craic of commuting to and from college every day must be incredibly bleak. Missing out on so much life experience from living in student accommodation. Living in digs is like the halfway house between both but I canāt imagine too many Fitz hurlers are commuting or living in digs.

I know lapsed poster @downyourthroats was taking the piss out of the Carlow IT boys sitting around watching Home & Away in the middle of the day, but their was a real message there too.
Thereās nothing more life affirming than a house full of lads spending a midweek afternoon in winter time, nonchalantly sipping a few cans and playing Fifa on the XBox.

Didnāt catch the UL game. I see Screeny was named at wing forward. Did he play there? Iāve often thought playing out the field would be good for him at times.
