I’d imagine they have managed to poach a few youngsters into an educational route. Lee Brennan would have finished school in the summer, wonder if they’ve got him.

Marty Clarke is with Queens this year.

I’d say Beggan is still at the Poly, but he’s shaky enough. Mightn’t even be Scotstown’s goalie in a year or two.

His free taking seems to have gone completely to pot.

In saying that, it seems to be the case for every keeper who was taking frees and after success. Cluxton and Morgan both had really poor years on the frees.

Going by the two McKenna Cup games, it seems UUJ have another star studded squad. I would hesitate that they have one of their strongest squad in years, I’ll give a stab at their strongest XV here:

Bound to be others currently involved with their counties too, they’ll have a bench of county players as well. Still probably won’t win the Sigerson as most of them will be heavily involved with their counties and not really give a bollocks but it looks to be once again by far the strongest team on paper.

Very surprised IT Carlow is level with WIT. Was at the match in Carlow where WIT ran rings around them, they must be after losing a good few lads this year. DIT are a snake in the grass. Conor McDonald, Lee Chin among others on the team.
