everything in that post is factually correct apart from the bit about Pete McGrath that is someone else’s opinion
Expised as never having been at the Dyke.
There arent too many there today either by the looks of it
After a quick count i would say 2.5k, or there abouts. There is a few on the climbing wall getting a sneaky free look but i didn’t count them.
Couple of very good young dubs playing here.
Madden and O’ Callaghan at half back and oisin o rourke at FF. All very tidy players.
What are the conditions like! Wind favouring either side?
Not really no, across the pitch. Hard to pick up the ball, thats the major issue.
Tom Devine on and making an immediate impact.
Cadogan causing wreck. UCD still up 1
Cormac Murphy on as well.
Jamie Barron is some hurler
UCD 4 up, another goal. Cormac Murphy acting the gowl. He seems a bit too big for his boots. Refusing to listen to his coaches. And exactly what they were warning against transpired.
Much left?
2-12 to 0-13 to UCD at full time.
Fitzgibbon Cup is trending in Ireland on Twitter.
Lost to a team backbones by dubs. In the mardyke! The times are a changing.
No surprise to see the Limerick colleges backboned by Tipp men coming to the fore the last few years
With a sprinkling of Wexford talent thrown in too.
Ucd always had a few strawberries playing.
About 150 spectators, mostly young self-employed tradesmen dressed in hoodies and tracksuit bottoms, on the famous “bank” at Dangan to see a routine enough win for Mary over UCG on a total bog of a pitch. Around 1-15 to 0-12 I made it. Declan Hannon scored the goal after the number 8 O’Donovan ran through the centre of the UCG defence and laid it off.
Cian Lynch was SENT OFF.
That saves him for Limerick’s league run. Teege will be pleased
On paper UCC are very strong but they really fucked up here starting a weakened team. Dumb. Win the game first then use the subs.
Nice UCD side nonetheless. Played more like a team. UCC were very individualistic.
