He was previously just managing the team but he’s doing some course in Social Studies and is now playing for them as well.
Mary I were 7 down to UL with about 15 to go… UL half going through the motions and led 1-12 to 0-04 at half time only for Mary I to come out and score 5 un-answered after the break… A goal from UL all but ended the comeback… Mary I have lost nearly the whole team from last year with only Galvin the standout player left. Jamie Wall of Cork playing some great stuff for them tho and had his man in all sorts of trouble… Not sure who was lined out for UL- Forde’s red head was noticable, think Morey was a sub. Big man, little Davey Fitz was in attendance.
Finished 2-23 to 0-16.
Thomas Ryan and Dan Morrissey were playing for UL. Think Mark Carmody is with them too.
Mary I had David Reidy and a couple of other Limerick lads playing for them like Jody Hannon, brother of Declan.

Were you there? Didn’t realise Hannon’s brother was in the college…Yeah I forgot Reidy… The Keeper pulled off 3/4 outstanding saves for Mary I, think he is from W.Meath?
Wasn’t there Mark, was off today and should have got into it rather than wasting my afternoon away on here talking shite though!
Jody is a fine hurler, he has the little touches of class. He’ll be a very good club player but not sure if he’ll ever be inter-county standard (and no shame in that).
With the pick they have UL have underachieved in this competition in recent years. They’ve Podge Collins, one of the McGrath’s from Loughmore/Castleiney, Padraic Walsh of Kilkenny (brother of Tommy) etc so they could go far in it this year. Declan Hannon obviously would have been a big loss for Mary I.
