Donal OâGrady (Cork) got the best out of him in 2011 in the half forward line so hopefully that will repeat itself. He was almost MOTM against Dublin in the quarter final in Thurles that year, scored 5 or 6 points from play. He was stifled all this year at full forward. Let him out the pitch and live off the breaks where he thrives.

They seem to do up the betting based on what players are where every year. I won a nice bet on UCC football a couple of years ago when Morgan and Kevin Murray trained them. They were 22/1 or something going into the weekend. They donât seem to get the whole âsum of the parts are grAter than the individualâ thing at all. Money to be made in the Sigerson and Fitz if you are keyed in. UL hae flattered to deceive for years. A hungry IT or the together ness of a UCC Will beat them most times.
UCC have a star studded team with the likes of Lehane, Harnedy, Barron, Fives, Barry, OâDonnell etc. Think they have the best team/squad in the competition regardless.
In fairness that year i could not understand why they were such rank outsiders for the sigerson. It appeared to be based on the fact that they had no âstarsâ in their team and had a few kerry and cork panelists. DCU aside who had genuinely had quality players, this assumption appeared to be based on the fact that the likes of UCD and DIT who were backboned by guys who start for the likes of Laois, Carlow, Westmeath, Rosommon etc and the collage teams are therefore overrated. People didnt appear to take into account the strength in Cork and Kerry at the time whereby most subs on their county teams would have walked onto the above teams.
