I’d say the Limerick lads went into full meltdown mode on the internet after the announcement of the 1973 All Stars, when All Ireland winners Limerick got 5 All Stars and beaten finalists Kilkenny got 7.

I think it’s the only time the All Ireland hurling winners finished with fewer All Stars than the beaten finalists.

In all fairness, I don’t think anyone is seriously arguing that Limerick are the greatest team of all time or that Tipp’s all Ireland in 2019 wasn’t a fluke.

You had lads doing fanny farts here when they weren’t awarded the 15 All Stars. In fairness I’d never heard Kilkenny going on about only getting 9 All Stars when they had the most dominant team of all time.
