The Shame I feel about Dublin as my capital (and other random cities in videos that Muldoons think is Dublin)

The Americans went and kicked the terrorists butts.

The Dublin streets are worse than ever.

The worshipping in the cathedrals over Christmas won’t be affected.

It started when the Shaw closed down.

They are already seeing an impact. Above CEO of Irish tourism federation.

Americans responded in the wake of 9/11, tighter security everywhere really, most noticeably airports.
where there was a sea change in standards. It was really a one off occurrence. What would have been a more apt example would have been New Yorks spate of crime and how Giuliani cleaned up the city with his get tough policies. It became a safer place to live, visit and work. Continuous news cycles of people getting knifed, beaten up, robbed is something that will create a stigma around a place these days due to social media saturation. 20 years ago it mightn’t have been as big a deal. What will the Irish government do… Nothing really of note. Bring in a load of unnecessary draconian legislation around facial recognition and hate speech that will achieve the square root of F all. What you need is community policing and numbers, visibility. Nothing will change.

Bad and all as the other night was I’m not sure it’s comparable to 9/11 really

It’s probably more comparable to the attacks in Paris in 2015.

Didn’t stop 50k drunk Irish fans turning up for the euros in 2016 in Paris.

You’re a dangerous fucker.

Theres safety in numbers

Rather than the riots being led by far right bogeymen as Drew Harris was quick to conveniently rush to as an alibi I think the commentators over last 48 hours are rightly laying the blame for this on the lack of any policing and police presence in Dublin inner city and the corresponding break down in respect for law and order.

The attack on the child resulted in some immediate hostilities that then escalated when the scrotes got emboldened by lack of police response as we saw when they used no police response as an opportunity to bulldoze a Lidl.

Dublin is far safer than most towns in Ireland. You have a chance of actually having a good night out too.

I’ll be in a few Dublin 1 cathedrals tomorrow evening all going to plan

I was out on Friday night & the place was very quiet. I personally heard about 3 or 4 different work nights out being cancelled so multiply that by an unverifiable anecdotal tale factor & I’d say there were plenty of cancelled bookings on Friday. That might have spilled over to Saturday too but I’d say that was just the initial shock/reaction & I don’t think it’ll persist this week & into the entire Christmas season. I think we’ve already moved onto the we can’t let these people win phase. I call on everyone to follow Neale Richmond’s call to get into town to support our city, our businesses & our people.

I’ll be making it my business to support Dublin over Christmas. A city that has been so good to me over the years.

I hear the Limerick hurling team are going racing in leoaprdstown over Christmas. Could be a unique opportunity for lads to get autographs and photos with the best hurling team of all time.
