Liverpool probably need about 9 points from here. Canāt see Arsenal winning every game.
They do have a tricky finish. But that win tonight puts things back on track

Jota did very well for that goal. Iām not having thatās not an offside from Diaz though. Even if it is correct by the letter of the law.
He obviously is affecting the defenders actions
I was at that game and I still didnāt twig it
Hard luck to Everton tonightā¦a gallant performance from Liverpool cities Irish club
Van Dijk went in with a bad tackle on Dries Mertens in that crunch Champions League game against Napoli in December 2018 alright. Canāt remember too many other nasty ones. Everton tend to lower the blade in Merseyside derbies. Funes-Mori on Origi in 2016, Pickford on Virgil 2020, Richarlison on Thiago and Tarkowski last night on MacCallister all spring to mind. Pickford tends to leap in two footed as the incident with Nunez reiterated.
Holgate on Firmino 2018(?) too an example of this genre
If pigford went in two handed heād miss.
I hope you werenāt awake all night researching that. Van Dijk had it coming that day Pickford did it him, watch it back. Van Dijk last season v Everton below.
Nah I have an incredible memory. I wouldnāt be wasting my time googling any of that. Gerrard and Van Der Meyde both getting sent off in a Merseyside derby at Anfield in 06ā also springs to mind. Everton do tend to lower the blade quite frequently in derbies. I donāt recall that Virgil tackle that youāve freeze framed there but Pickford does seem a fairly reprehensible individual on the pitch. Liverpool have had a few over the years too (Diouf and Suarez).
Pickford rubs some people up the wrong way but that mostly has its roots in the Van Dijk incident. There was a fatwa declared on him after that by Liverpool fans and the media. It would have finished lesser characters but if anything, he seems to thrive on the adversity.
I think itās the scowl on his face and occasional time wasting that annoys opposition fans too. Heās taller than I expected @neilld. I was about to praise him for making it at all when he was so small but heās actually 6ā1ā which is surprising.
Itās the length of his wings that are the problem.
And the fact he points and screams at defenders shortly before or after waving one in past him.
Ah Pickford is very unlikable
He is a caricature of an English lout
I donāt mind Pickford at all a tall
He winds up opposition fans, sure, but heās very popular among Evertoniansā¦Has been very consistent in recent years and is probably the main reason theyāre still in the Premier League. He does plenty charity stuff off the pitch, doesnāt court publicity, doesnāt spit at kids, not a racist, etc. Heās alright in my book
Pigford has a willum street hairstyle
Canāt trust a lad like that
