The Slot Machine šŸŽ° - Liverpool FC 2024/25 - Back on their perch

Ah it’s still a rivalry among the locals. The Oirish full kit wankers stood on the Kop or down in the local wouldn’t get that.

Are you a local mate?

No.

So you are pushing the rivalry as an Oirish Everton fan?

No, just stating facts, it’s a rivalry among the locals. Thats generally how it works in a two club city.

Top four nearly wrapped up today. Arne’s got things heading the right way.

Any Everton fans I’ve met in Liverpool are invariably sound. You’d have to admire the career Seamus Coleman has put down there, hopefully Jake O’ Brien can achieve something similar. A proper traditional club who’ve been ousted from the upper echelons by oil states and monied franchises.

Ah Seamus is just a gem of a man, a perfect role model on and off the pitch. His playing days are almost at an end but I think we’ll still see plenty more of him behind the scenes at Everton, and hopefully with Ireland too.

O’Brien has been brilliant after a tough time under Dyche, the fans have really taken to him…Hopefully he’ll win a bit more silverwear than Seamus did. A grand old club as they say but they badly need to drag themselves out of past, the new stadium and new owners should be a step in the right direction.

I’ve had several pints with Evertonians in Kavanaghs, Ye Cracke, etc. All good sorts.

One game at a time.

Uh oh.

Arenal ramped up the pressure with an excellent point at Everton yesterday and that pressure is telling on Liverpool today.

Nice to be on the beach in early April. Tis like one of those handy Fergie leagues.

Like 2000-2001. Except a more competitive league at the moment. A first league defeat in almost 7 months. Time flies.

I’ve an awful bad feeling.

Big boost last night, Liverpool no longer have to look over their shoulder quite as much.

Phew. The City players can ease off so. With 5 teams in the Champions League you’d imagine that all the big clubs getting in so.

If results go their way Liverpool can guarantee champions league qualification this weekend and Man United can guarantee premier league survival for another season. Both will have achieved that with 6 league games remaining which is fairly impressive.

Spurs might get the 5th spot yet.

Will be a magic night at The Inn when Liverpool Football Club secure Top 4/5.
