The Slot Machine 🎰 - Liverpool FC 2024/25 - Back on their perch

@Julio_Geordio said City were done about two months ago.

This guy fucks.

Arsenal have had a horrible fixture list so far and have incredible luck with injury. There’s to lose

Liverpool have a run of away games coming up now. If they skip over those they’ll have it done by January and can concentrate on Europe

Arsenal are coming like a train. They’ve played far more of the difficult away games than we have. They’ll need to win at Anfield but title winning Arsenal teams tend to do so (1989, 2001-02 and 2003-04). I predicted them to finish above City at the outset of the season.

Slot probably hasn’t even had a chance to fully implement his style of play yet. The hybrid of various different styles is working brilliantly. A more defensive approach but it’s limiting the needless concessions.

There’s a long way to go in this yet. City are in limbo a bit. The development is huge and lust be dear, and they’ve the court case hanging over them, which just comes down to a difference of opinion, hence could go either way.

Fairly half hearted now

Tom Little on X: “Look at the dominance in this photo Standing taller and with more confidence Tight grip whilst pulling in the handshake to assert dominance Maintaining eye contact whilst not lowering himself to talking to an inferior manager Game was won then and there https://t.co/9NVh10CjVA” / X

Pep did the soccer equivalent of breaking early from the parade. Head was gone

Salah will issue a come and get me plea and the wheels will fall off by the time women’s Christmas is over !

Salah is desperate to stay I’d say. There’s no club like Liverpool in the upper echelons of European football.

Is Slot the first successful Dutch manager in English football? Bar a brief spell for Gus Hiddink at Chelsea they’ve all tended to underwhelm in the Premier League era.

Slot has proven nothing yet. If he can secure Top 4 giving the minimal backing he’s had then we can give him the plaudits.

His only achievement so far has been making us dream. If he goes on and wins major silverware this season (no diddy cups) then he can expect to see his face on a Ratoath embroidered flag on the Kop next season.
