Hoping to have Ry Cooderâs new album Election Special soon - anyone heard any of it, reviews are brilliant.
Donât know so much of his stuff.
Itâs funny, I have a few single Ry Cooder mp3s and love them all. And the soundtrack to Paris, Texas is one of my most favourite things, along with the album. And I love all his Buena Vista/Ibrahim Ferrer(?) stuff. Are you a big fan, Fitzy? Whatâs a good album to start with? Actually, I have Chavez Ravine somewhereâŚthatâs from about 6 years ago now, itâs excellent.
I noticed it here where itâs available to âsampleâ if you want:

Thatâs an excellent website for âtrying new music before you buy itâ by the way.

Another from marvellous Forever Changes.
Tremendous live version this.
Speaking of Sinead - is this the best Irish single of all time?
