TBH Thraw, I donāt know much about him either and Iāve been meaning to listen to more of his stuff for years. I first heard of him through Paris Texas and also the brilliant soundtrack he did for a brilliant film called Southern Comfort. Iāve listened to some of his last album, Pull up some Dust and Sit Down which was excellent, very cutting lyrics with his guitar work. This album seems to develop the political themes. And the Buena Vista stuff as well.
Great to see old men who are still producing the best music and still angry.

I listened to the whole of this album earlier while cutting up a couple of hundred plums for my latest batch of homemade jam. Very therapeutic. And the album is very good too.

Plum tree out the back garden. They ripened far later this year than last, at least a month. Thereās sttill some on the tree even now. They were all gone it by the middle of August last year.
My apple tree hasnāt produced any fruit at all this year even though itās been growing fine and healthy. That produced a crop of around 50 apples the last few years. Must be the bad weather this year.
