Continuing The Pogues theme, this is a real favourite of mine. The rousing, Phil Chevron penned, âThousand Are Sailingâ.

The husband of one of my co-workers played two Smithsâ songs on Phantom last week. Sheila, Take a Bow has been in my head ever since. I didnât care for it so much in my younger days but it is a PHENOMENAL tune.
Boot the grime of this world in the crotch, dear

Sheila would be one of their songs that I would skip over myself Thrawneen.
Do I recall correctly that you said you preferred William It Was Really Nothing to How Soon is Now?
Crikey.

William would be in my top 5. HSIN wouldnât even be close. A boring dirge in comparison.
I was never a fan of Sheila but hearing it in an unexpected manner over my old ladyâs stereo while drinking a glass of wine booted the wonder of the tune into my head.

Not my favourite Smiths song but a great lyric
Would you like to marry me?
If you like you can buy the ring.

Saving the best till last. Not so much a smashing tune as a set of smashing tunes

Thatâs a smashing tune bomber. Iâve seen Leftfield 4 or 5 times at this stage and they get better every time. Seriously talented musicians and they know how to work a crowd without doing the same set every time.
