Merle Haggard - Silver Wings
Fela Kuti - Shakara
Saw this dude and his outfit on a hot sweaty summer’s night back in the '80s. One of the most intense musical experiences I’ve ever had. Band came out, started playing, and didn’t stop for three and a half hours. I mean NON STOP. One song sequed into the next. Mega extended jams with incredible grooves. They whole place moving and dancing. At the end of it all there was people passed out on the ground, collapsed, exhausted. Fucker and his band could groove.
