The second tune referenced by Copland in that clip from Rodeo is also a tune with transatlantic roots. Known in Appalachia as Hop High Ladies, or Have You Ever Seen the Devil Uncle Joe, and known on the right side of the Atlantic as Miss McCleod’s reel.
