Stipe does Bowie
load of scutter
This came on the radio today, I had no choice but to turn the radio up to 11 and shout along.

If I could like this 10 times I would, my favourite Pixies song.
Soulsavers - Revival
(cracking vocals from Mark Lanegan, as always)
Alice In Chains - Right Turn
Jerry Cantrell, Chris Cornell, Layne Staley, and Mark Arm all on vocals. Unreal. Unbelievable.
A wee bit overproduced. Was listening to āGoldā there on 12 inch on the way to work. Really got me going for making decisons!
Mary Margaret OāHara - Bodys in Trouble

I believe Mary has new music coming out, she only released the one album, Miss America in 1988, which I loved. Though she has apparently done a lot of collaborations since. She was astonishingly beautiful also.
I was never that taken with Alice in Chains but thatās a cracking tune on listening now.
I liked Pearl Jam, vitalagy wasnāt a great album but this is a brilliant tune, reminds me of the summer of 95 on building sites around New York.

Two from Sun Kil Moon (Carissa & BenĀ“s My Friend)
Iāve heard that song live many times, and it never fails to give me goosebumps. That video got me thinkingā¦
I bought Pearl Jamās āTouring Bandā DVD when it came out. Itās easy for a band to stir emotions in their listeners when they can hear the music, but thereās a moment on the DVD during the performance of Given To Fly in St. Louis, MO that takes music to another level. I found a clip of it online and rewatched it again.
Before the song, Eddie Vedder spots a lady on the side of the stage signing the words to the songs to a group of people with hearing disabilities. He brings her up on stage and into the spotlight. Between watching her signing, her fluid dancing for the benefit of the group looking to her, watching Eddie Vedder mesmerised by her, and listening to a smashing rendition of a smashing tune, it would melt a heart of stone.

While digging out this video, Iāve just seen that the signer, Kimberly Rae Schaefer, passed away last year. āA human being that was given to fly.ā
I look forward to watching later on when I have a bit of time,
I only ever saw Pearl Jam in Slane 93
I used to be a huge Pixies fan but havenāt listened to them in over 10 years, if I was pressed for a favourite it would be

Possibly my fav too.
My favourite is Caribou
It has everything for a Pixies song - quiet/loud, BF screams, amazing guitar with a solid drum and base.
And I think I actually know what BF is going on about.
