The Smashing Tunes Thread (Part 1)

What has Bruce Springsteen got to do with me or black lads grabbing their crotch while rhyming about womenā€™s arses and guns?

Is that supposed to be some sort of statement ?

When Bill does this one, I feel like I need to stop everything Iā€™m doing. Pull over the car and perhaps have a little cry.

I detect an attempted thinly veiled mugging off.

Trust me, I have given Mesguggah a long break, this is the type of thing that makes my ears (and eyes) bleed. Admittedly the guitarist would appear to have influenced Stephen Carpenter which I suppose is a good thing.

Youā€™ve mugged yourself off.

The drumming in that track is nothing short of genius.

Lads, has anyone heard the new Frank & Walters album yet? It sounds off the hook. Unreal even. The song with Cillian Murphy (Stages) is a serious earworm.

This is the only one I can find online so far

This is not a song is a smashing tune indeed. Whelans on May 7th

Oh my God, fellow Frank and Walters fans, Iā€™ve landed on my feet here boys
Iā€™m a little bit suspicious though that yeā€™ve only mentioned the best known songs, like a James fan saying they love Sit Down.
I posted Pathways a few weeks ago, that is an amazing song, my own personal favourite though is World Carries on, B-side from the Happy Busman way back, Iā€™ve seen the Franks well over 20 times and they only ever played this the first time which was in Sir Henryā€™s back in 91 Iā€™d say, maybe 92. I was pictured in a mosh on Select Magazine when they reviewed the same gig.

I wouldnā€™t say Iā€™m a fan. It is more a nostalgia post although their songs are still good in my view.
