Where did you gooooo
I think we have very similar taste in music pal, I posted petrol a few weeks ago, similar era knocking about Cork as well Iād say,
Girl from Mars used to be epic in the packed indie clubs,
'but you never told me your name, I still love you girl from ā¦ MARS (go mad)
A word of advice on Smashing tunes, donāt shoot your bolt too early, you want to stay in this for the long haul
INXS - Never Tear Us Apart
Came up on a random playlist the morning. Quality tune.
James are a great band, this is one of their many great tunes that isnāt called Sit Down, a bit more downbeat than their usual style but lyrically it is fantastic
Lovely. I have that on a cassette single. I saw L7 live in the Point supporting Faith No More, a gig where I lost my glasses crowd surfing in the mosh pit.
Gotye : Somebody I Used To Know ( Acapella Vocal Only )
An unreal vocal performance.
There really should be a downvote function.
I like that song.
Anyone ever seem Pavement play, canāt recall them being in Ireland? One of the best bands of the 90s, some of their stuff was a bit far out but they had some classics.

Been dipping into this album again all week. This tune is a cracker. Funky as fuck, but when that heavy beat kicks in around the 3 min mark and then the synthesized vocalsā¦ boom!
Great tune, reminds me of a very good time in my life, for some reason I am always reminded of playing snooker in the Ebony club in Cork when I hear it. The context of the lyrics make the vocal performance extra special, I think Gwen Stefani owes everything to that song, like Robbie Willliams and Angel.
Yeah 100%. Career maker. Great song though has aged well, like herself!
I donāt know where the Ebony club was at all?
Another top tune from same era
