JJ72 - Oxygen
Good tune here often misrepresented as being about Kurt Cobain, might be more suitable for @ironmothâs thread but a smashing tune nonetheless.
Filter- Hey man, nice shot.
I posted that a while back dude. Savage tune. About Budd Dwyer, the American politician that shot himself live on tv.
shit, Iâll be for it now.
Have you come across these guys before mate, around the same time as the last one, very Pearl Jammy
Silverchair- Tomorrow
Sure did - Daniel Johns was the front man. Married to Natalie Imbruglia for a while. Very identifiable debut album, which was released when they were 15!
Their song Straight lines is a good tune
Forget it.
Michelle Shockedâs Anchorage is a smashing tune that isnât available on YouTube and vimeo wonât work here.
A shameful ripoff
Thatâs a blast from the past.
Saw her open for Billy Bragg back in about 88âor '89 I think it was. Great show. The Mejia-Godoy brothers were also on the bill, and this was when the Contra war was in full swing, so it was a fairly politically charged evening.
I must say though, of all of them that she really blew me away that night. Powerful solo performance and songs that cut right to the bone.
Anchorage is a great song.
It is a smashing song for sure, I had a lump in my throat listening to it earlier.
Iâve seen Killing Joke live - one of the greatest ever. Jaz Coleman is a fucking SERIOUS front man.
Your man from the National Matt Berninger was on a Back to Mine kind of thing that I was listening to on my way to Body and soul last night. He selected the following tunes.
And a Nick Cave song but I canât remember which one.
Very safe choices there, all great tunes although the Smiths one he picked would be well down my list.
