I know this wonāt be your cup of tea but Cathal Coughlan was working with Luke Haines recently so these guys came to mind, one of the best bands of the mid 90s for me

Not a chance Fitzy mate. But Iāve long since dispensed with the need for approval of my musical tastes. Thereās a few on here that Iād cross over with regarding punk, hardcore, etc., but thatās about the size of it.
But as for Fatima Mansionsā¦ I bought Lost in the Former West when I was still in school and it blew me away musically and lyrically. I was in a RATM phase at the time and constantly looking out for politically charged music. No Irish band came close to FM in that regard.

The album is worth a punt mate. Some excellent tunes on there.
Tom Dunne said in todays examiner that his favourite album ever is Microdisneyās The clock came down the stairs. Tom is a man whos opinion on music Iād respect, This isnāt as well known as Town to Town but that was on the next album

Microdisney just didnāt have the same Oooft as Fatima Mansions. Good band, but FM were a great band.
