I looked up “smashing tune” on Google, and it said “Jane’s Addiction - Three Days”
Always been a sucker for tunes with the big crescendo. The build up from 4:00 to 7:30 is epic. I read an interview with Dave Jerden in which he said that for the Ritual de lo Habitual recording the band all came in separately and laid down their own tracks. Except for Three Days. The record company came along to take a look, and the band played this beauty. Also, Dave Navaro’s solo on this was a one-take.
