I saw Tracy Chapman playing support to the Hothouse Flowers in the RDS in 1988. The following night she was onstage at Wembley with Springsteen.
She was brilliant, one woman, a guitar, totally captured a very impatient audience that evening. We even stopped doing human pyramids while she was on after the boredom of Deacon Blue.
